In the TCBC Workshop (The Telecommunication Certification Body Council Workshop) held from October 24 to 27, 2022, Canadian ISED released the latest requirements for multi model products to apply for certification: when applying for Canadian ISED certification for multi model/multi product versions, each applied model/product version must provide internal and external photos of the product.
Applications for multiple models include:

◆ Multiple models in the same series
◆ Add the model of Permissive Change

01 What is Canadian ISED certification?
ISED, formerly IC (Industry Canada), has officially changed its name to Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) since 2016, and is responsible for the certification of electronic and electrical products entering the Canadian market. Its products mainly include radio and television equipment, information technology equipment, radio equipment, telecommunications equipment, engineering medical equipment, etc. Similar to the FCC of the United States, the ISE certification currently focuses on electromagnetic compatibility and RF testing requirements for wireless products and non wireless products.
ISED stands for Innovative Economic Science and Development (Canada). This certification helps regulate radio, consumer electronics and communications equipment in Canada. ISED certification is the pass for electronic and electrical products to enter the Canadian market. Radio products can only be sold in the Canadian market after obtaining the ISED certification of the relevant authorities. The purpose of this certification is to ensure that all electronic products available to Canadians on the market are safe and comply with appropriate manufacturing and environmental guidelines established by the Government of Canada.
02 ISED certification method
ISED: self declaration and certification can be used.
ISED self declaration: ISED SDoC is generally applicable to the certification of non wireless products;
ISED Certification: ISED IC, generally applicable to the certification method of wireless products, that is, IC: XXXXX - YYYYYYYYYY on wireless products.
03 Instructions for ISED ID Certification Application
1. Must have the address information of the Canadian representative (this representative has a registered Canada code)
2. The label shall contain the following information (manufacturer's name or trademark, model name, IC number)
04 Materials to be prepared for Canadian ISED certification application

1. Application Form
2. Technical description or manual of equipment model, maximum internal working frequency, circuit schematic diagram and operation manual of the product

ISED IC certification:
1. Application Form
2. IC number (6 company codes+11 product codes at most)
3. Letter of Authorization for Local Agent
4. Block Diagram
5. Circuit diagram
6. Line description
7. User Manual
8. Test report
9. Label and label position of each model. The label shall have IC number, and the label position shall be significant
10. Internal and external photos of the product
11. Test photos
12. Technical specifications (including product transmission frequency, channel number, transmission power, modulation mode, etc.)
05 Canadian ISED Certification Process
1. Contact ZRLK staff to learn about relevant cost quotation and cycle
2. Provide relevant technical data and mail samples to our testing laboratory
3. After receiving the sample, the laboratory arranges for testing
4. After the test, issue the test report
5. Submit application for ISE IC certificate to the CB authorized by ISE
