        Attention! The latest standards for household appliances in Australia have come into effect

        AS/NZS 60335.1:2020, the latest standard for household appliances in Australia, amendment No.1 is applicable to the revision of clauses AZ.5.201 and 7.1 by Australian countries; And the New Zealand national version of Article 7.1. The revision of AZ.5.201 will take effect on November 26th, 2023.

        In the meantime, the AS/NZS 60335.1:2020 standard which has not been revised to AZ.5.201 will also remain in force. Other parts of this amendment shall come into force on November 26, 2021. Regulators that cite this standard in their regulations can apply these requirements at different times. Users of this standard should consult these authorities to confirm their requirements.

        Australian certificates that meet the old standards will remain valid for five years, but it is still recommended that certificate holders upgrade to the new standards as soon as possible to meet the technical regulations.

        In addition, as for as/nzs 60335.1: 2022 (household and similar electrical appliances-safety general requirements (IEC 60335-1ed6, mod), the standard adopts the revised version required by countries such as Australia and new Zealand in the sixth edition of iec 60335-1.

        The 2022 edition of AS/NZS 60335.1 can only be used in conjunction with the corresponding Part 2 of AS/NZS 60335 based on this edition. AS/NZS 60335.1:2020 and its revised edition shall remain valid until the second part used with it is completely revoked. At present, the revocation date of AS/NZS 60335.1:2020 and its revision (dow) has not been determined.
