In October 2024, workshop mentioned the ISED fee forecast, and the Canadian IC ID registration fee will rise again, which will be implemented on April 1, 2025 and is expected to increase by 2.7%. Wireless RF products and telecom/ Terminal products sold in Canada (CS-03 products) must pass IC certification. Therefore, the increase in Canadian IC ID registration fees has an impact on such products.
Canadian IC ID registration fee seems to be rising every year, as follows:
1. September 2023: The fee was adjusted from $50 per HVIN (model) to only one fee regardless of the number of models;
New application for registration: $750;
Change application registration: $375.
Application for change: c1pc, c2pc, c3pc, c4pc, multiple listing.
2. It rose by 4.4% in April 2024;
New application for registration: the fee is increased from $750 to $783;
Registration of change application: the fee is increased from $375 to $391.5.
3. It is predicted that it will rise by 2.7% again in April 2025.
New application for registration: the fee will increase from $783 to $804.14;
Registration of change application: the fee will increase from $391.5 to $402.07.
Extra tax reminder
If the applicant is a local Canadian company, the registration fee of Canadian IC ID will generate additional taxes. Different provinces/regions need to pay different tax rates. Details are as follows: The tax rate policy has been implemented in 2023, and this part will remain unchanged.
The expenses involved in different products are as follows:
Products without Radio frequency function: If the product does not have radio frequency function (Radio) and does not need CS-03(telecom/Terminal), then this product does not need to apply for IC ID, just do SDOC, and this fee is not involved.
Products with RF function If the product has RF function, whether it is necessary to do CS-03 or not, you need to pay the corresponding fee for applying for IC ID.
